Olivia Jones

Olivia Jones was born and raised in Jackson, MS. She is a passionate kindergarten teacher. Growing up she developed a loved for books. Her love for reading lead her to pick up a pen and write. She hid this talent from most. After teaching diverse students, Olivia wanted to write books that represented diverse children as well as their diverse conditions. "I Want a Friend" was inspired after finding out her son had Sickle Cell Disease. This book was therapeutic for her and lead to her second book "My Friend Austin". Olivia wants all children to be accepted and have friends.
