Philippe Bagau was born in 1965 in Agen, in south-west France. He attended the Conservatoire of Dramatic Art whilst completing his studies in Business in Bordeaux.
From the 1990s, he travelled the world and his experiences have nourished his novels and stories. In 2003, bewitched by Ireland, he wrote "L’Oeil d’Inishaill" ("The eye of Inishaill") published in France. He is the author of two other novels, "Confessionnal" and "Rémission", and more recently of two children’s books : "Wiksâb" and "The snail who wanted to fly" available in French, English and Spanish versions.
Since then, he has been living in the South West of Ireland, devoting himself to writing, travelling and accommodating travelers in his lovely property, Rodeen Country House which overlooks Bantry bay.
