Stéphane Vial

PhD in philosophy, graduate in clinical psychology, Stéphane Vial is Full Professor at the School of Design of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), where he holds the Diament Chair, Strategic Research Chair in Design for e-Mental Health.

Editor-in-Chief of the journal "Sciences du Design" at the Presses universitaires de France, he is also the author of "Being and the Screen" and "Short Treatise on Design", published in one volume at MIT Press.

His research provides a better understanding of the impact of digital technology on perception and contributes to a better definition of design as a French-language academic discipline. His recent work focuses on design and digital innovation for mental health.
