Olivier Philipponneau

Olivier Philipponneau is an illustrator and a graphic novel author. He uses the woodcut technique for most of his creations which combine simplicity of forms and colours. His experimental graphic novels are published by the Hoochie Coochie publisher and particularly Détective Rollmops which was selected for the Angoulême International Comics Festival. As a duo with Raphaële Enjary, they have illustrated several books written by Alice Brière-Haquet. Their books have been translated into many languages (in Germany, Brazil, China, Korea, the United States...). He used japanese woodblock printing to illustrate Schopenhauer’s Porcupine in Philonimo series.
