I've been writing stories since I was seven years old. My first novel, The Drowning People, won Italy's Grinze Cavour Prize for Best First Novel and set me off on a rollercoaster ride. Since then, I've written Us, The Lighted Rooms, History of a Pleasure Seeker and now Who Killed Piet Barol?
