Tami Spry

Dr. Tami Spry is Professor Emeritus of Performance Studies at St. Cloud State University, MN and is currently working as a writing coach. Her recent work explores sociocultural relationships with nature/culture, while earlier publications address gender violence, mental health, and race through performative autoethnography. She received the Leslie Irene Coger Award for Outstanding Achievement in Performance (2014) and the CSCA Performance Studies Division Outstanding Scholar Award (2012). Her research appears in Text and Performance Quarterly, Cultural Studies–Critical Methodologies, Qualitative Inquiry, and others. Award winning books include Body/Paper/Stage (2011), Autoethnography and the Other (2017), and Posthumanist Collaborations in Performance with Travis Brisini and Jake Simmons.
