Charles Mims has been the pastor at South Peninsula Baptist Church in the heart of Daytona Beach for fifteen years. In that time he has developed numerous innovative and exciting ministries to help a traditional style church remain relavant for a contemporary community.
He sits on the board of directors for "Salt and Light for Jamaica", a missionary support foundation supporting ongoing missions on the island of Jamaica. He also is the Staff Writer for Creative Resources Media, and advertising agency in the Greater Daytona Beach area.
Pastor Mims holds a Bachelor of Theology from The Baptist College of Florida, and a Master of Theology from Andersonville Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Pastoral Theology from the same institution.
He and his wife, Beth, have two children: Brianna and Sami, who have both grown up in Daytona Beach and fully participate in the life of the community.
