Joe has over 15 years of Information Technology experience and presently is a Business Intelligence Architect with Pragmatic Works Consulting. He specializes in data access architecture, data integration especially extract transformation and load (ETL), and Microsoft® business intelligence solution design and development.

Joe is an accomplished SQL Server™ author contributing to Professional SQL Server™ 2005 Administration - (Wrox/Wiley), Professional SQL Server™ 2008 Administration (Wrox/Wiley), and Microsoft® SQL Server™ Reporting Services Recipes: for Designing Expert Reports (Wrox/Wiley).

Joe is a Microsoft® Certified Professional having IT Professional(MCITP) certifications for SQL Server™ 2005 Business Intelligence Developer and SQL Server™ 2008 Business Intelligence Developer as well as having Technology Specialist (MCTS) certifications for SQL Server™ 2005 Business Intelligence Development and Maintenance and SQL Server™ 2008 Business Intelligence Development and Maintenance.

He attended data warehousing worldwide innovator Ralph Kimball's Dimensional Modeling in Depth and Data Warehouse ETL in Depth classes and regularly attends industry conferences such as the Microsoft® Business Intelligence Conference and the Professional Association for SQL Server™ (PASS) Summits.

Joe designed content areas for Microsoft® Certified IT Professional Exam 70-446 Designing a Business Intelligence Solution by Using Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2005 and

participated in an invitation only design review of Katmai (SQL Server™ 2008).

His Microsoft® SQL Server™ Business Intelligence Expertise Areas include database modeling, design and implementation, as well as business intelligence solution design and developoment using SQL Server™ Integration Services - SSIS (Extract, Transform, and Load - ETL), Reporting Services - SSRS, and Analysis Services - SSAS.

He also has previously held a United States Department of Defense (DoD) Personal Security Clearance (PCL).
