Jane E. Hall studied at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design, earning a Diploma in Foundation Studies, before advancing to Loughborough College of Art and Design, where she graduated with distinction. She is acclaimed for her hand-embroidered three-dimensional studies inspired by nature. Hall’s work has been widely exhibited and includes significant commissions that are on public display.
Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in early childhood and facing additional health challenges in adulthood, including Lyme disease, hearing loss, and impaired sight, Hall is an advocate for mental health and wellbeing. She promotes these causes through her creative philosophy, connection to nature, and adoption of a ketogenic lifestyle.
Published books, dedicated to her artwork and creative philosophy, include “The Art and Embroidery of Jane Hall - Reflections of Nature” (2006), “The Art of Embroidered Butterflies” (2012), and “The Nature of Creativity - A Mindful Approach to Making Art and Craft” (2022).
She has lectured to diverse audiences in the UK and internationally and has been featured on TV, in magazines, and periodicals. Hall’s studio is nestled in the British countryside, surrounded by a flourishing wildlife habitat. Currently, she continues her work in art, nature conservation, health, and wellbeing, and is working on an autobiographical novel.
