Matthew J. Tincani

Dr. Matt Tincani is a professor of special education and applied behavior analysis at Temple University.

He has worked in the field of autism spectrum disorders for over 20 years as a therapist, program supervisor, university teacher, and researcher. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2000, he has developed several university-based programs to prepare professionals who support people with ASD.

Dr. Tincani was founding director of Nevada’s only university center for autism, and has held a variety of state and national leadership positions, serving most recently on the Board of Directors of the Association for Positive Behavior Support. He has authored or co-authored dozens of articles, book chapters, and books featuring research and strategies to teach people with ASD and other disabilities communication, socialization, academic, and self-help skills.
