William Long

William Long was inspired to write the Timecrack Adventures - a sci-fi/fantasy series - on a visit to the pyramid sites in the Yucatan jungle. An interest in ancient cultures motivated him to see similar sites in Egypt, Sri-Lanka and Newgrange in Ireland. Along with his interest in aviation, space and the cosmos, and the possibility of other dimensions and new worlds, led him to create Timecrack, the first book in the series, followed by Copanatec. A third book, Varakite is expected to reach the bookshelves by early 2022.

As a child, William enjoyed reading American comics sent by his aunt from Canada to Ireland, and frightening his young friends by telling them ghost stories. Bill, as he is known to his friends, was born in N. Ireland, has travelled extensively, worked in Canada and America, is now retired from business, and living in in Ireland. He is married with two children and two grandsons, one of them a budding storyteller.
