Eve Edwards

Eve Edwards is a writer of contemporary novels for adults, as well as historical YA fiction.

In The Summer of Wishful Thinking, she explores the world of the registrar of births, deaths and marriages - think a modern version of Four Weddings but with a just-managing single mum twist.

She has a doctorate in literature from Oxford University and finds researching a large part of the fun for writing historical fiction. Dusk and Dawn deal with the events of World War I from the point of view of two teenagers caught up in the first day of the battle of the Somme. For the Lacey Chronicles, she visited Tudor houses, attended jousts and ate Elizabethan banquets to get the sights, sounds and tastes right for the books. And, yes, she can testify that it is possible to eat neatly without the modern invention of the fork. She lives in Oxford, UK, a city full of history, and is married with three children.
