Maria Rago

Maria Rago, Ph. D. is a psychologist and the clinical director of Eating Disorders Services at Linden Oaks Hospital at Edwards. She is president of Rago & Associates Counseling Services in Naperville, Illinois, and serves on the Board of Directors of ANAD (Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders). Dr. Rago was honored as Prevention Magazine's Health Hero in March of 2009 for creating a program for eating disorder patients to serve food in a homeless shelter. Coca Cola, movie popcorn (with butter, of course), and cheeseburgers rank as her favorite foods. She has been close friends with co-author Greg Archer since high school, where they lived across the street from each other, but never dreamed they would someday write a book together. She lives in Aurora, Illinois with her two beloved children, Alex and Tia Khan, and their amazing dog, Rocky.
