Stan Ruecker

Stan Ruecker (July 20, 1962) was raised in Balgonie, Saskatchewan, Canada. He is author or co-author of more than a dozen books of fiction and non-fiction, 80 academic papers, 175 presentations at learned conferences, and 34 software prototypes. Currently employed as an associate professor of design at the IIT Institute of Design in Chicago (aka "the new Bauhaus"), he spends the bulk of his time on research teams studying the implications of new media on how we communicate. Dr. Ruecker's fiction falls into two categories: speculations about how science and culture imbricate, and literary fiction dealing with topics in psychology and society.
