Brian Dobby

Brian Dobby is a laid-back and reflective soul who has finally retired from the rat-race, in order to spend more time with his family and on his many hobbies. These include designing and building mosaics, travel, fishing, gardening and of course writing books on a variety of topics.

Brian grew up in a happy home along with his parents and three older siblings. He went on to gain a university honours degree from Nottingham University, followed by 45 years working in various professional roles in accountancy, IT, and the church.

He is happily married with two grown up children and a son-in-law. Pets over the years have included several rescue greyhounds, a cat, some ducks, fish and so on as well as a few hobby sheep.

Brian is a storyteller by nature and is always happy to share a few anecdotes with anyone who will listen. He is a great believer in pondering and this is reflected in several of his published works.
