At one time, my life's ambition was to write a 600-page spoof on every Western movie ever made. I got as far as naming the Table of Contents before abandoning the notion.

My fiction always begins with people in the midst of crisis, whether they know it or not. It's as if I am dropped down into a world already there, and I'm driven by curiosity to find out what the characters in that world think and feel.

A novelist at heart, I've written short stories, poetic drivel, screenplays, 3 other novels, a collection of Southern humorous stories loosely based on an ex-moonshiner my aunt used to know; and the multi-volume historical epic, Tierra del Oro.

The You Tube book videos provide an overview of the Cordero Saga with selected images generously supplied by superb photographers, and music from accomplished composers. Credits for both appear at the end of each video.

Read Inside here on Amazon for a sample of any title. While the Books 1 - 4 can be read as separate stories, Book 5 becomes intricately entwined with the remaining volumes. Collectors of all 9 novels have expressed satisfaction with this "One story, One family, One continuing adventure" experience.

Three collaborations with Jack Schaberg of Mindful Entertainment resulted in finished films and IMDb credits.

Being accepted by the WWA in 2011 was the culmination of a long-held ambition, though my work isn't strictly "western" but historical fiction that includes frontier and pioneer short stories that placed first in online competitions.
