Robert Kan M.D.

Robert Kan was born in the Netherlands, hid from the Nazis and was orphaned during WWII, as described in this book.

He came to the US at age 20, studied chemistry and medicine, and retired from orthopedic surgery in 2001. He lives in Baltimore with his partner of eight years and is known to have built several harpsichords.
