Kim L. Abernethy

Growing up in the small rural town of Delco, North Carolina, Kim has spent most of her adult life, along with her husband of 36 years, Jeff, as missionaries with Baptist Mid-Missions. They have ministered in Liberia, Jamaica, and Ivory Coast. Having been evacuated from both Liberia (1990) and Ivory Coast (2002) because of civil unrest, they felt God turning their hearts back toward the United States. In 2003, they joined the small, but illustrious team of Campus Bible Fellowship International and became missionaries on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. They are in their 15th year in this ministry and are thrilled to see how God is revealing Himself to many collegiate seekers of Truth from all over the world.

A lay counselor, speaker, and Bible teacher, Kim enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, working in her herb garden, and being a freelance photographer.

She is the mother of 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren.
