Dolly Faibyshev began her photography career with Palm Springs - Mid Century Modern, a book of photographs taken among the nestled and manicured neighborhoods of southern California's desert landscape.
Since its publication, Ms. Faibyshev has explored themes of Americana within the spectacle of dog shows, rodeos, and Las Vegas. Her dynamic and gently satirical photographs give viewers access to exclusive American pastimes and playgrounds.
She has exhibited at Verge Art Fair 2010 in New York, as well as "The Pleasure Is All Mine" and "When Will We Grow Up?" group exhibitions and the Art Hamptons International Art Fair with her gallery of representation, Finch & Ada. In 2012, she exhibited at the Affordable Art Fair in New York with ArtStar, and currently has work in an ongoing Occupy Wall Street group exhibition at the South Street Seaport Museum. Faibyshev's work is in several collections worldwide, including that of photographer Jessica Craig-Martin. She is also featured in this season's photography issue of Soho House Magazine and PDN's Emerging Photographer Magazine.
