Suzanne K. Kearns

Suzanne K. Kearns has been passionate about aviation since her childhood. She began flight training at the age of 15 in her hometown of Wiarton, Ontario, Canada. After earning her commercial multi-engine fixed and rotary-wing pilot licenses, and her Bachelor's degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University she completed a Master of Science degree in Human Factors and Systems Engineering and a Ph.D. in Education.

Dr. Kearns is an Associate Professor at the University of Waterloo where she teaches, researches, and writes about aviation fundamentals, teaching theories, human factors and safety. She is an advocate who internationally supports the education, recruitment, and retention of the Next Generation of Aviation Professionals
