Jim Overturf

Jim Overturf (1940- ) was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. He moved to Southern California in the mid 1950s where he went to school and then traveled the world building power plants as an engineer/project manager. After he retired he took up writing amateur sleuth mysteries. He eventurally moved back to Lincoln, Nebraska where he currently resides with his wife Karen and Molly, a half rat terrier, half Jack Russell terrier (only her right ear is Jack Russell). Jim has had a major interest in auto racing since 1954, the year he attended his first Indy 500 race, and that's why he chose the racing venue as the setting for his Kurt Maxxon series. Kurt is a sixty-something race driver in a fictious racing league, who turns into an amateur sleuth every once in a while and solves the murder. Four books in the Kurt Maxxon series series are currently available in both print and Kindle editions. A new Alisa Sharpe, P.I. series is almost ready to publish. Watch for "Dead Man Talking" in early 2013
