Barbara Scott Emmett

Barbara Scott Emmett has published novels, short stories and a book of poetry. Her work has also appeared in anthologies and magazines. She has been fascinated by French poet Arthur Rimbaud for many years and a play about him (Death Without Tears) was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Delirium: The Rimbaud Delusion was published in association with Triskele Books in October 2014.

Current work in progress is DARN CROOK, which follows on from PINK LANE, which was itself inspired by characters who appeared in DOG LEAP STAIRS, which won a special award from the Lindisfarne Prize for Crime Novels. All these books are set in Newcastle upon Tyne and the last two are police procedurals featuring DI Metcalf and DS Al Hughes, who appeared in minor roles in Dog Leap Stairs.
