Billie Irene Johnson is a native of Huntington, West Virginia. She has a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and a B.S. degree in Liberal Arts from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. She is married to a U.S. Government Senior Foreign Officer and has two sons and three grandchildren.
Billie has had a life-long interest in history and archeology. Her inspiration for Lost Gold of the Shenandoah was rooted in a deep appreciation for American history, especially that of the Appalachian Mountain region and, in particular, the antebellum and Civil War era southern cultures.
