Gerald Hall

Gerald Hall was born in 1960 in Charlotte, North Carolina. After graduating from North Carolina State University, he enlisted in the US Army and served in a variety of units before deploying to Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Desert Storm. Since then, he joined first the National Guard and then the Air Force Reserves. Gerald has also deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan before retiring from the Air Force Reserves after serving a total of over thirty years in the Intelligence Community. His military and technical background has given him a uniquely well-informed perspective on the military, technological developments and their impact on world events. Gerald is a lifelong science fiction fan and has had over a dozen articles published previously in various small gaming magazines on the BattleTech game. Gerald is also the spouse of a retired United Methodist minister's spouse. Christian themes run throughout Gerald's various series; Unwanted Gifts, Yesterdays War and The Eyes of Libertad. Gerald also has three novels set in the far future series 'Eyes of Libertad'. Currently, Gerald is working on a new series that starts with the novels 'Yesterday's War'. This series involves time travel, alternate history and an exploration of what might happen if someone travels back in time to change history in an attempt to save humanity from extinction. 'Unwanted Gifts' is the first in a series of near-term science fiction novels that feature a family whose special gifts transform the world and people around them through the generations.
