A Kentish Man by birth, Robert Jaggs-Fowler is a Fellow of St John's College, Durham University, a writer and poet, and a retired GP and Anglican priest. He divides his time between Lincolnshire and North Yorkshire. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and with degrees in medicine, a Master of Laws (medical law & ethics), a Master of Arts (spirituality, theology & health), and a Doctor of Philosophy (Theology), a former columnist for two regional newspapers and a county magazine, he has had several short stories, non-fiction and 'filler' articles published and has contributed to an American film script. He won the Lincoln Book Festival Prize for fiction in 2005 and the Fathom Prize for poetry in 2010. He has written book reviews for a major magazine publisher, has been a regular contributor for an American travel website, and published his first collection of poetry, 'A Journey with Time', in 2008, with his second collection, 'On Quarry Beach' following in 2017. His first novel, 'Lamplight in the Shadows' was published in January 2015. His musical interests include playing the piano, alto and tenor saxophones and classical guitar. He is currently working on his second novel and third collection of poetry.
