Ken Phillips

I am a lawyer and a writer. My wife Katy Franco and I are the authors of CHEMORELLA. As she went through treatment for breast cancer, she took the stage at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood on a regular basis. She did stand-up comedy and made her audiences roll in the aisles even though she was weak from chemotherapy and scared to death that her wig would fall off. When she wasn't performing, she was hand-crafting the most beautiful painted, bejeweled sneakers the world has ever seen. She reminded me of Cinderella and so I started calling her "Chemorella."

That led both of us to write one of the most inspirational, amusing and gorgeous books ever, CHEMORELLA. As a lawyer, I have helped a lot of people (especially injured kids), but I hope that people will remember me first as the co-author of CHEMORELLA and a great husband for the courageous, hysterically funny Katy Franco.
