Nelly Dreams, born Chanelle Flowers on March 3, 1979. She is a much known Washingtonian. She really didn’t have a clue of what she wanted to be in life. None of us does actually. Well later on, she began receiving inspiration from someone up above. Words were given to her in intervals at a time so she took heed of the advice and compliments from close friends and family. Nelly began to put her pen and paper to work almost 10 years later. She has studied different kinds of writing techniques, via authors, magazines to bring you varies types of creativity. She is now proud to say that all of her obedience and hard work wasn’t in vain. Since 2006, she has received eight Editor’s Choice Awards and has recently been selected as a 2008 National Poetry Monthly Ambassador. She was very honored to be included in the Noble Houses’ compilation Centres of Expression. She did it all on her own and will never give up. In the words of Laurinda Brown: "When you do what your passion is-your passion being what God gave you the zest and talent to do-the rest falls into place. "She wants to thank her for those words of inspiration. Because its what she lives by today.
She is a true writer because she always carries a notebook, a pen, a camera, and a pocket dictionary. Nelly has broaden her skills and is steady reaching higher levels with her writing.
