Farhana Zia is an award-winning children's author, retired elementary school teacher, and proud grandmother. Drawing inspiration from her South Asian heritage, family traditions, and years spent working with young readers, she creates stories filled with warmth, humor, and heart. Her picture books celebrate family, faith, friendship, food, and the everyday moments that shape childhood. Through her writing, Farhana hopes to help children see the beauty of their own stories while discovering the rich experiences of others. She lives in Massachusetts and continues to write books that honor culture, community, and the joy of belonging.
