Career (Boring): Student; Merchant Navy; Welder (with degree in Psychology); Design Engineer; More Design Stuff (Yawn…); Author (but only between twelve and one in the morning, which explains a lot.)

The author survived this sailing trip, if only by luck more than anything else, but he did live to tell the tale. And who knows, maybe after reading Sailing Solo Alone, it may make someone think twice before he, or she, jumps head-long into a boat; sets sail into the sunset, just hoping for the best…
