Kimberly J. Smith

Kimberly J. Smith writes novels for children and is an advertising creative director with 30+ years of experience telling brand stories for companies both large and small. Her passion for storytelling extends into children’s literature where she loves to tell tales with a twist on familiar legends—be they dragons, ghosts, or fairytales. A voracious reader of many genres, her favorite stories (both to read and to write) tend to revolve around those that reveal the fantastical hidden within the folds of reality.

Her most recent novel, BODY OF ORIGIN, is her first written for a young adult audience.

Born and raised in Colorado, and a graduate of Colorado State University, she now resides in North Texas with her husband and calico cat.
