Sascha Benjamin Cohen

Author, speaker and poet, Sascha Benjamin Cohen brings an academic background of comparative religion, cultural studies, and middle eastern history to his varied works and activities.

In addition to his writing, Sascha is Director of Tech Strategy and Development at the UCSF School of Medicine, and Director of the Ilios Project, an open source curriculum management project and software platform for the health professions. His work has been published by the University Press of America, Edwin Mellen Press, University of Texas Press, and a variety of small journals nationwide.

Along with his writing, photography, and general roustabout activities, he also is the proprietor of 3141 Pies, an artisanal bakery in San Francisco, and an avid homebrewer.
