William C. Purves

William Purves was born in New York City in 1962 and has lived in New Jersey, central Illinois, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, Colorado, and Michigan. He has worked as a teacher and educator for many years, mostly in English and History, but also in Game Design, Urban Planning, and Geography. He designs games for teachers and students, did that as part of a living for many years, and now teaches students individually. Writing occupies his days, tutoring and running writing workshops his evenings. High points of the past year include publishing 'Fairmont Forever', teaching a class on the literature behind the Harry Potter series, and raising a small flock of chickens in his backyard. He enjoys working with students of all ages on writing and creativity.
