Sue Mackey is a practice manager, speaker and former nurse educator. She and her husband Chris, a clinical psychologist, run a large psychology clinic in Geelong, Australia. During Sue’s nursing career she specialized in Intensive Care and Coronary Care. Sue developed an aggressive form of triple negative breast cancer in 2013. Her cancer treatment included five months of chemotherapy followed by mastectomy, radiotherapy and further reconstructive surgery. She was able to draw upon her knowledge of positive psychology and her supports over this time. Sue set out to build upon these resources after cancer and completed a Certificate in Positive Psychology through the Wholebeing Institute. She has 3 children, Rowan, Joanna and Ellie, and an exuberant schnoodle called Effy.
