Brandon Blankenburg lives in the Seattle area. He is an amateur naturalist with a fondness for the horror genre, combining the two interests to write zoological horror fiction; however, he does have a tendency to branch out into other genres from time to time.
While working on three independent feature-length films and wrapping up his web series, he is currently writing THIS DINOSAUR FUTURE I DREAMED. Along the way, as indicated in NUDIBRANCHS!, he'll continue to work simultaneously on four more books focusing on marine creatures: ATTACK OF THE ANEMONES, THE SAVAGE SEA STARS, SEAHORRORSES, and BLUE RINGS OF DEATH.
While his peers were reading assigned classic literature, Brandon grew up reading titles from authors such as Guy N. Smith, John Halkin, Richard Lewis and William Essex. Instead of watching cartoons as his friends did, he preferred staying up late to watch movies shown on TNT's MONSTERVISION and USA UP ALL NIGHT. These influences showed through often in English class, a subject he continuously excelled at in school.
After taking a broadcast production class and graduating from a digital media course, it took Brandon some years to realize his true calling is to be a full-time writer.
