Steve McCurdy

Steve McCurdy was born in Detroit in 1943, and spent his formative years in a small town in Northern Iowa. After graduating from the University of Northern Colorado in 1966 he spent 10 years working as a financial officer for NYSE companies. In 1977 Mr. McCurdy left the corporate treadmill and established himself as a consultant to small businesses seeking investment capital for start-up or expansion. Steve wrote more than 200 business plans and helped entrepreneurs raise millions of dollars of capital over a thirty-year career.

Today Steve writes passionately about how government excess stifles personal freedom and individual enterprise. He also has a lifelong love of American History, and enjoys researching and writing about the American story, particularly the revolutionary period and the early twentieth century.

Steve is now retired and lives in Tennessee.
