Alex Markman

Alex Markman was born in the former Soviet Union, where the freedom of speech was labelled as “Western Propaganda.” No wonder none of Markman’s works was published before the collapse of the Soviet Union.

As a former dissident in Russia, he knows well both oppressors and oppressed, prisoners and persecutors, and their corresponding moral values, which often are far outside the boundary of sane minds.

Alex Markman is the author of fiction books, both in English and Russian, whose main subjects are an adventure, romance, and the integrity of the human mind and soul.

Markman’s drive to discover new places has brought him to such locales as the vast, unspoiled wilderness of Russian Ural and Siberia to the refined urban areas of Los Angeles and San Francisco. His adventurous, often dangerous life and familiarity with people from different cultures have given him abundant material for his entertaining stories.

Currently, Alex Markman lives in Canada.
