Timothy D. Kanold

Timothy D. Kanold, Ph.D. is an educator, husband, father, friend, runner, author and inspirational speaker. YA nationally recognized education leader from Illinois, he also served as school district Superintendent. He received the prestigious Damen Award from Loyola University Chicago in 2010. Dr. Kanold currently serves as a co-author of Grades K-12 INTO mathematics textbooks for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. His 2018 IPPY Award winning book, HEART: Fully Forming Your Professional Teaching and Leading Life! by Solution Tree press, was followed by the books SOUL! in 2021, and Joy! in 2025. He teamed up with Dr. Tina H. Boogren to write the best selling book Educator Wellness (2022) and its journal companion (2023).
