John Holmberg and his wife bought a sport fishing boat years ago. They were lucky enough to find space to float it in the waters of Cape Ann. Thus they chose to settle there.

The Cape is home to oldest fishing port in the country. The waters include not only the Atlantic Ocean, but Ipswich Bay and many tidal creeks and estuaries. It is ideal for chasing Striped Bass and Blue Fish with fuzz encapsulated imitation flies posing as bait.

John spent 30 years traveling from coast to coast testing many rivers for resident fish and meeting many wonderful people, enticing the former with flies and the latter to hire one of the oldest investment management firms in the US.

His travels, the Cape with its people and fruits of the sea has provided John with a bucket full of adventures and local mysteries from which good tall tales can be told.
