A Big Western Howdy to all my friends, fans, and those interested enough (or just plain curious) to look me up!!!

For those who don't yet know me, I have had an exciting and varied career, one reason why I think I'm qualified to write books.

Over the years, I have worked as: a movie star - character actor - stuntman - stunt coordinator - film producer (I'm listed on IMDB) - law enforcement officer (police-deputy sheriff- constable - police chief) - firearms/defense tactics instructor - security guard - security director for the Los Angeles World Trade Center - working cowboy - rodeo cowboy - dude ranch cowboy - bronc buster - horse trainer - singing cowboy (on stage and in films) -center ring circus star (Trick shooting, Knife throwing, Bullwhips, and trained horse acts) - milkman - bulldozer operator - fruit picker - veterinary assistant - taxi driver - radio DJ - recording artist - saddle maker - short order cook - grocery clerk - store manager - business owner - professional wrestler - oil field roughneck - pest control - taxidermist - armed bodyguard - and of course, an author.

I am an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Air Force during Viet Nam (No, I'm not the Tex Hill of Flying Tigers fame).

I am now retired and live on my little horse ranch in Arizona. I have been married 3 times and finally did it right...Claudia and I have been happily hitched in double harness for 26 years now. My wife was formerly Claudia J. Edwards, a successful author of Fantasy novels, including the Eldrie series.

I have lived in Mexico, Germany, England, and Ireland, and I have traveled around the world (both in luxury and with a backpack and hiking boots) on several occasions. I was even detained and held overnight (mistakenly!!) as a suspected CIA spy in a former Communist country...Not an experience I would reccomend to anyone, although that story did have a happy and quite humorous ending, which I may write about in detail someday...LOL.

My author credentials include: numerous (over 100) short stories and magazine articles...to cite just a few...Field & Stream, Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine, Far West, Law & Order, etc.)...6 books (both fiction and non-fiction), 3 of them are available at Amazon.com both as print books and in Kindle editions. I have also written and sold 2 screenplays. I have never written any poetry (probably because Ogden Nash is my idea of a great poet...LOL!!!). I was nominated for a Golden Spur Award twice, and won as a "Runner Up" once. I have worked as a feature writer for several newspapers back when people actually read those things.

I am a conservative Republican and believe in God, although I'm not a fanatic, and try to keep an open mind about most things. For example, I DO believe in Ghosts, and have actually lived in 3 haunted houses!

I am sociable and friendly but I won't be insulted or pushed around by anyone...those who tried that found out the hard way that it wasn't a good idea...in my younger days, I really was as tough as I was in my films...LOL.
