Kate Hofman

I was born in The Netherlands, and we moved to London, England, when I was 18. Later, I went to Canada, and after four years there I met and married Arnold Hofman, a truly fabulous man.

I have a BFA degree, and he funded an art gallery for me, which I owned and operated. When I was widowed, I worked for a while as an Internet Publicist to Nina Bruhns, who urged me to write. And I did!

The most daunting thing I ever did, sitting in front of that empty page on Word. And then I began to type... Five years later, I had 25 books. I never intended offering them for publication, I just wrote them for myself because I was tired of the standard romance books where sniping bitches were fighting with the heroes for most of 200 pages, stopping only for an occasional clinch. So boring.

A friend urged me to submit something, and I sent 5 books to Romance At Heart, to give them a choice - and they took all five. No one more surprised than I.
