Hi Readers,
My name is Dr. Eugene O'Loughlin and I am a Lecturer in Computing at the National College of Ireland. I received my PhD in 1988 from the University of Dublin, Trinity College. After that I worked as a Production Manager and later as Director of Global Services for over 13 years with the e-Learning company - SmartForce (now SkillSoft). Since 2002 I have been teaching in the School of Computing at NCI where my subjects include Project Management, Business Process Management, Learning Technologies, Statistics, and Business Analysis at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
I live in Dublin and my favourite form of relaxation is riding my Harley-Davidson motorcycle. I am also a blogger, see my blog at www.eugeneoloughlin.com. I have a modestly successful YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/eoloughlin) where you can watch videos that describe many of the techniques and methodologies covered in my Business Analysis book.
An "Introduction to Business Systems Analysis" is my first book. This is a text book designed to help students learn about Business Analysis problem-solving techniques.
My second book "Exploring Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way" is about riding my motorcycle along the world's longest defined driving route (2,500 kilometres/1,550 miles). This is a fantastic journey and my book, with 167 photos, documents the places of interest along the way.
My third book "Exploring Northern Ireland's Causeway and Mourne Coastal Routes" is also about a motorbike ride - this time along the entire coast of Northern Ireland from Derry to Newry. This is a brilliant ride featuring the Giant's Causeway, The Mountains of Mourne, the Mussenden Temple, plus great cities like Derry and Belfast. Join me as I ride the A2.
