T.M. Doran is the author of "The Lucifer Ego", "Toward the Gleam", "Iota", "Terrapin", and "Circling the Turtle".

He has contributed to the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, USA Today, New York Times, Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, and many others.

Born in Long Beach, California, he has lived the great majority of his life in Michigan, surrounded by sweet water.

A member of the Engineering Society of Detroit's College of Fellows, Adjunct Scholar at the Mackinac Center, recipient of the Purdue University Alumni Achievement Award and Michigan Council of Engineering Companies Anderson Image Award.

Tom has had a lifelong affection for The Lord of the Rings and the Narnia tales, not just as rousing stories, but for their profound insights into human nature, human weakness, and virtue.
