Prabhakar Krishnamurthy

Krishnamurthy Prabhakar (b.1955) is at present Professor at Velammal Engineering College and visiting professor at Anna University and IIIT (D&M).

I describe my self as crowd teacher ~ knowledge nomad ~ author ~ passionate about studying poverty, access, injustice in society and frugal innovations.

He graduated from Madras University in Science with first class and specialized in operations management in Master of Business Administration with distinction. His doctoral thesis is on social forecasting from Aligarh Muslim University and published in Germany. He was trained at Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta as faculty. He has authored books on management discipline in the areas of Software Marketing, Strategic Issues in Software Marketing published by Pondicherry University and Hospital Management by Annamalai University for distance education. He is member of board of studies for Pondicherry University, Annamalai University and resource person for academic staff colleges of Madras University, Alagappa University and Pondicherry University. He was invited by Educational consultants of India to visit Middle East and South Africa to participate in seminars on education in India. He is Shell scholar for corporate governance and participated in international conference on corporate governance on invitation from Asian Institute of Management, Philippines. He is member of education subcommittee of Confederation of Indian Industry. Recipient of prestigious scholarship to attend advanced research fellowship at University of Padova, Italy. His passion is learning and areas of interest are theory of multiple intelligences, social forecasting, Business Models, Design and online learning.
