Hermann Raith

Hermann Raith was born in Germany, in 1935. He had a Christian upbringing. After school, he studied physics at the Technical University in Berlin, from where he received his Ph.D. degree in 1966. Thereafter, he worked in the field of electron microscopy and in 1980, founded his own high-tech company (www.raith.com), which he led till 1998. After retirement, he left Germany with his wife, and now lives in Perth, Western Australia. He does not belong to any religious group.
