James Baux

Born in 1966, James Baux was raised in South London, along with his two elder siblings. Of Irish parentage he naturally spent his primary and secondary education in London’s catholic school system. Scholastic attainment however was never too high on his agenda in those early years, and James left school without taking any formal examinations. After serving an apprenticeship with his Fathers plastering company James then went on to work in the building industry in England, America, Ireland and France. In 1996 James embarked on the notorious ‘knowledge of London’ and has now worked as a London Cabbie for more than ten years. His passion for writing surfaced when he took a degree course with the Open University starting in 1999. The Misogynist is his first novel and is the first in a planned series revolving around his character Detective Inspector Kaylan Walsh.

James still resides in South London with his wife and two teenage children.
