Gary Madden

Born into middleclass America and to a working-class Indiana family, Gary Madden took an interest in storytelling from an early age. Stories provided an escape from suburban reality, a window into fantastic alternate worlds. He dove into the science fiction of Ray Bradbury, Frank Herbert, Isaac Asimov, and Arthur C. Clarke as well as the fantasy of JRR Tolkien and Robert E. Howard. Initially he applied his creative drive to extricating himself from the trouble his exploits often landed him in but eventually his creativity channeled itself into writing.

In 2006 his writing career kicked off with several short stories appearing in small-press publications and anthologies. His inaugural novel, Time of Death, was released late in 2011.
