Marco Annunziata

Marco Annunziata is the chief economist of General Electric Co., where he is responsible for global economic, financial and market analysis to support GE's business strategy. Before joining GE, Annunziata started his career at the International Monetary Fund and then worked in the private financial sector, living in Washington D.C., London and Milan. He published his first book in 2011: "The Economics of the Financial Crisis: Lessons and New Threats." He is a two-times winner of the Rybczynski Prize for best paper in business economics, awarded by the Society of Business Economists in London, and has co-authored two papers on the economic implications of recent technological innovations in industry: “Industrial Internet: Pushing the Boundaries of Minds and Machines,” in 2012 and “The Industrial Internet @ Work” in 2013. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Princeton University and a B.A. from the University of Bologna.
