John Beavin

Is John Beavin the reincarnation of Stephen Foster? John was born in McQuady, KY on Jan. 13, 1939, into a large musical family. Now an author/songwriter/recording artist, Beavin often shares that he was always mysteriously drawn to Mr. Foster's music before reading in his biography that Foster died on Jan. 13,(John's birth date)1864. Mentioning this entices people to ask if he believes in reincarnation--a question which Beavin loves to answer with "No more and no less than I believe in this incarnation."

Students of A Course in Miracles appreciate this pithy reply, and those who have read his book, The Parable of the Stars, describe it as "ACIM in a nutshell." This, by no means, is meant to replace the actual Course, which requires a lifetime of mind-monitoring; It is only a parable of the illusory journey, complete with the happy ending.
