Robert (Bob) Hansen hasn’t always yearned to be an author. His favorite subject in school was—PE. But, fifteen years ago the Lord urged him to write. Thus began a pleasurable (most of the time) if unprofitable, venture of the heart. Years into “the madness,” someone at a writer’s conference told him, “I think you have a gift for humor.” Knowing that he wasn’t allowed to bury a gift, Robert tried his hand at this dangerous genre.
An article for Focus on the Family followed, as did humor columns for various newspapers. This led to his book, Why can’t Women Understand Men, We’re so Simple—AMG Publications, 2002. In all this, the hope of novel writing persisted. After countless rejections, the effort bore fruit, The Bully’s Doom—A Whisperer’s Tale, a fantasy for middle grade children (and gentle-hearted adults) was birthed by Baker Trittin Press, 2007.
Having many available-for-publication-manuscripts in his computer, Robert continues his struggles in Chehalis WA. He draws support from his family: Sherry, wife of 34 years; four grown children; three daughters-in-law and two grandchildren. The entire family attends Grace Foursquare church in Centralia WA.
