Mark McNease

Liiving in the New Jersey woods does things to the imagination. For me it has led me deep into the forest, where strange things wait behind the trees, and others just outside my window. A shriek, a cry, a thud. I also write mysteries, and at the heart of every supernatural or horror story lies a good puzzle. Is a character losing her mind, or are there really evil forces at work here? Has the main character imagined what's happening to him, or are his misfortunes a sympton of something darker?

I like to set my stories in my own backyard. L.A., New York City, and now the idyllic river towns of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. I'm the author of the Kyle Callahan Mysteries, three of which have been best sellers on Kindle. My Linda Sikorsky Mystery, 'Last Room at the Cliff's Edge', was called a winner by Publishers Weekly. I'm also the author of the Maggie Dahl Mysteries, and the Marshall James Thrillers. My horror novels include A House in the Woods (1 & 2), and my supernatural thriller I, Warlock introduces readers to the not-quite-immortal Julius Tide.

I'm a two-time Emmy Winner for Outstanding Children's Program, and a fomer board member for the Mystery Writers of America, New York chapter (hoppilng babck onboard in 2027).

My short story 'Stop the Car' was selected as a Kindle Single and is now an audiobook narrated by the amazing Braden Wright. It was selected twice to be included in the Amazon Prime reading library. I have 11 audiobooks in total, available for your listening pleasure. Fasten your headphones!
